Kenneth McKenzie, President & CEO
Ken attended the University of Southern California, BA, Zoology, and St. Catherine's College, Cambridge University England, as a Cambridge Scholar in 1964. He was commissioned as an Officer, US Army, 1966. Volunteering for Airborne and Special Forces training, he graduated from Jump Master and US Army John F. Kennedy Center for Special Warfare School in 1967.
Ken served in the US Army 3rd Special Forces Group, the 5th Special Forces Group, and the 25th Division, Vietnam. He was decorated with a Silver Star for Gallantry, Bronze Star for Valor, Vietnamese Cross For Gallantry, and Purple Heart for wounds received. After serving in the U.S. Military, Ken joined the Federal Bureau of Investigation as a Special Agent, specializing in bank robbery and fugitive investigations in Philadelphia, Washington Field Office, and Los Angeles. After the FBI, Ken started Surfside Development Company, a real estate development firm that he currently owns and manages. Married with one son and now living in Florida, he is involved with various charitable projects sponsored by Lean On Me USA.
Ken, as C.E.O. of Lean On Me USA, is the producer of the Death or Prison podcast, which brings faith, hope, and encouragement into homes and prisons through GloryStar Satellite Television, Roku, and more than 1,500,000 electronic tablets distributed in prisons worldwide.
Richard Glau, Th.M., Director
Richard Glau came to The GEO Group, Inc. as "Manager, Faith-Based Services," after 11 years with the Florida Department of Corrections. He first served as an institutional staff Chaplain, then Senior Chaplain, and completed his ministry with the "FDOC as a Regional Chaplain. Creating maximum synergy between the typical Chaplaincy job description and the current DOC emphasis on re-entry initiatives is his efforts' primary focus. Contributing to the seamless integration of the incarcerated back to their neighborhoods is the goal. "This can only be achieved through the relentless pursuit of raising public awareness of the needs, and simultaneously educating communities to the obstacles. Practical solutions can be found, but it requires an all-out effort by everyone involved. "Partnering to change lives to promote and ensure the safety of our communities is a worthy goal. Also, he serves as Associate Pastor of Christ Presbyterian Church in Lakeland, Fla. He also is the current Moderator for the Westminster Presbytery of his denomination.
Bruce Paulus, Director
Through his six-year appointment as Vice-Chairman of Prison Fellowship's Justice Fellowship National Leadership Advisory Council, he worked with the Missouri "Jobs for Missouri" Committee, which specifically addressed Prison Industry legislation. During this time, Bruce developed a strong interest in the criminal justice system. He has also served on the Restorative Justice Council of the National Diocese Association of St. Louis and was a presenter at the National Community Sentencing Guidelines Association of Chicago. As a result of his contributions to this work, he was hired by Prison Fellowship as the Program Manager of the Iowa "Inner-Change Freedom Initiative," which is an intensive prison pre and post release program for inmates. For two years, he served as the Director of Prison Ministries for "Child Evangelism Fellowship," developing resources and programs for the highest at-risk population in the world, the child of a parent in prison. Bruce is currently the National Deputy Director of Division of Prisons for Damascus a 501(c)(3) which began in 2015 with one overarching goal: to bring a prison reentry model to the nation.
